Pocket Recreation Area Day Use Pass

The Pocket Recreation Area Day Use area provides visitors a place to recreate in the Ridge and Valley region of Northwest Georgia. Amenities include a parking area, picnic sites, hiking trails, vault and flush restrooms, and a picnic shelter. The picnic shelter is first-come-first-served unless it is reserved on Recreation.gov. The Pocket Picnic/Day Use Area is open year-round, though only has a vault toilet during the winter months. 

The day pass is only valid for the day purchased and permits the use of the parking lot along with the picnic and day use facilities.

If purchasing onsite, please have the Recreation.gov app downloaded prior to arrival. Cell phone connectivity is extremely limited in the Pocket Recreation Area.

Please have a screenshot of your pass or a printed copy to provide if asked by a Forest Officer. Cell phone connectivity on the forest may be limited.

This pass does not guarantee parking availability. For your safety, please remember that parking outside of designated areas is discouraged and visitors who park illegally may be fined and towed. This pass is valid until 11:59 PM of the date listed on the pass, and only for the date and vehicle specified for this pass.

A 50% discount may be provided using the following passes: America the Beautiful Passes: Senior, Access, Military, Gold Star, Veteran, and Golden Age Senior/Access are accepted at this site.

Passes are non-transferrable between vehicles, non-refundable, not replaceable if lost or stolen, and are void if altered or reproduced.
